The expo site visit and meetings were held in İzmir and Sakarya on 22-26 November 2021 by the AIPH-International Horticultural Producers Association Board of Directors. AIPH President Bernard Oosterom, Vice President Leonardo Capitanio, General Secretary Tim Briercliffe, Foreign Relations Manager Elena Terekhova and Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters' Association Chief Gülşen Bay attended the visits.

In the program, meetings and technical visits were held in Izmir to examine the Izmir Expo application. After the meetings, the delegation approved the application for 2026 Expo İzmir International Horticultural Expo and signed a protocol with the authorities.
AIPH delegation held expo meetings and technical visits in Sakarya between 24-26 November, for three days. Visiting Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce in his office, the AIPH Board of Directors emphasized that Sakarya is a strong candidate for the expo and stated that their applications will be put on the agenda at the first AIPH Congress to be held.

The Turkish representation of AIPH-International Horticulture Producers Association, which is the approval authority of International Horticultural Expos held all over the world, is carried out by the Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters' Association.
