Expo 2021 Hatay closing ceremony was held on July 2, 2022, with participation of Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Lütfü SAVAŞ, AIPH Chairman Leonardo Capitanio, AIPH Secretary General Tim BRIERCLIFFE, Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters' Association Chairman İsmail YILMAZ and representatives of other official institutions.
At the Award Ceremony held at the closing ceremony, many awards were given in various categories to the gardens and participants, which were evaluated by the international jury. Finalists were awarded by Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü SAVAŞ and AIPH President Leonardo Capitanio.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, AIPH Board Member and Ornamental Plants and Products Exporters' Association President İsmail YILMAZ said, “We are proud that our country hosted Expo Hatay 2021, Turkey's second Botanical Expo. This Expo, which has been postponed for a long time due to the negative conditions of the pandemic, represents hope. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this successful organization made with great devotion.”
